Eating at Disney World is usually about Mickey-shaped pretzels and giant turkey legs, but if you look a little closer at the menus, you’ll find some truly bizarre creations. The chefs at the House of Mouse love to experiment with colors, textures, and flavor combinations that sound like they belong in a science lab. With that in mind, here are 20 of the strangest foods from Disney World.
1. The Infamous Pickle Milkshake
Walk around EPCOT during the Food & Wine Festival, and you’ll see guests with green milkshake cups emitting a scent reminiscent of a grocery deli. The shake is a blended dill pickle surprise with the texture of creamy ice cream. It’s so shocking to your system when you expect vanilla that it’s one of Disney’s most controversial snacks of all time.

2. Blue Milk with Gorg Eggs
If you’ve tried Blue Milk from the Milk Stand in Galaxy’s Edge, you’ll notice they’ve upgraded their alien drink. Now mixed into the coconut and rice milk concoction are popping pearls they call “Gorg Eggs”. Flavored like green tea, the pearls pop in your mouth as you chew away on pieces of fresh pineapple.

Animal Kingdom used to be home to one of the most hilariously gross snacks ever made, consisting of fudge and treats shaped to look like various animal droppings.
You could choose among "species" like giraffe, elephant, or hippo, each featuring different ingredients like oats, peanut butter, and pretzels to mimic their textures.
4. Black Ant Salt Margaritas
If you order a premium margarita at La Cava del Tequila in the Mexico pavilion, you’ll notice your glass has a very crunchy rim. The reason? The salt they mix the sugar with is blended with actual ground-up ants! This gives it a nice smoky and earthy flavor that’s common in certain areas of Mexico.
5. Cheeseburger Spring Rolls
You’ll find these crispy bundles of mystery at a small cart right as you walk into Adventureland. Expect a savory flavor that’ll remind you of eating a cheeseburger from your favorite fast-food chain. The mysterious snack contains ground beef, melted cheese, and pickle bits all rolled up inside and deep-fried to perfection.

6. Squid’s Revenge Cocktail
This drink previously appeared at Be Our Guest and took the classic Mary drink concept to a dark, nautical place with a giant charred octopus tentacle reaching out of the glass. The base is a salty Michelada, rimmed with Tajin, making it look like a prop from a pirate movie rather than a casual beverage. It's definitely not for the faint of heart.
7. The PB&J Burger
As you can probably guess by the name, this burger is topped with the classic peanut butter and jelly combo.
The sweet taste of grape jelly and creamy peanut butter is an odd complement to the salty ground beef and bacon. It’s a messy, gooey experiment that proves almost anything tastes better when you add peanut butter.
8. Dried Crab and Squid Snacks
One of the greatest snack spots at Walt Disney World is the Mitsukoshi Department Store located in Japan. If you want a break from the typical theme park candy you’ll find here, you’ll find whole dried crabs you can eat, shell and all. It’s the perfect place to go if you’re tired of chocolate.
9. Blue Felucian Shrimp Cocktail
Shrimp isn’t known for its variety of colors, but when you’re eating at a restaurant inside a Star Wars spaceship, you know your food will look otherworldly. And these shrimp certainly do, served to you in an electric blue that looks like they could glow in the dark. They use butterfly pea flower tea to color the shrimp shell.
10. The Pickle Corn Dog
Over at Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs on the Boardwalk, you’ll find this insane snack. It features a regular hot dog stuffed into the hollow center of a dill pickle, then battered and fried. As if that ridiculousness isn’t enough for your taste buds, it also comes with a side of peanut butter to dip it in.
11. Fuzzy Tauntaun
Inside Oga's Cantina, you can order a drink that will literally make your mouth go numb thanks to a special "buzz button" foam on top. The foam contains an herbaceous botanical that numbs your lips and tongue as you sip your cocktail.

12. Zombie Eye Bites
If you visit Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar around Halloween, you’ll find delectable “eyeballs” made from deviled eggs served inside fried chicken nests. Using a slice of black olive for the pupil, the tiny appetizers stare down at guests with an unsettling hunger from their perch on the plate.
