Convenience Store Foods
7-Eleven is the king of convenience, but when it comes to food, it can be a hit or a miss. Focusing on American 7-Eleven menus in particular, there’s a lot to choose from. With that in mind, here are 10 of the best things to get every time, and 10 terrible options to avoid. Do you agree with our picks? Did we miss any of your favorites?
1. Slurpee
The Slurpee is 7-Eleven's signature frozen beverage known for its icy, sweet, and refreshing taste. It's perfect for beating the heat on a hot summer day, and it comes in every color of the rainbow with fun combinations to experiment with. The Slurpee's smooth, slushy texture and endless variety of flavors make it a nostalgic favorite.
2. Egg Salad
The 7-Eleven egg salad sandwich is a classic grab-and-go sandwich that is easy to eat on the go. The sandwich features a creamy and flavorful egg salad filling between two slices of soft and fresh bread. The egg salad is made with eggs, mayonnaise, and a hint of mustard, giving it a rich and savory taste.
3. Spicy Bite Hot Dog
The Spicy Bite Hot Dog from 7-Eleven is better than you might think. It's bursting with big, savory flavor. The meat is juicy and full of flavor, seasoned with orange pepper flakes you can see.
4. Ready-Made Popcorn
7-Eleven's ready-made popcorn is a delicious and easy-to-eat snack that's perfect for on-the-go snacking. With each fluffy, buttery kernel packed with a satisfying crunch and classic, savory flavor, it's a simple and timeless treat that's sure to please.
5. Boneless Orange Chicken
The 7-Eleven Boneless Orange Chicken is one of those 7-Eleven chicken surprises. It’s got the ideal umami bite. Each piece is blackened to perfection, all slathered in sticky sweet sauce that isn’t too sugary.
6. Buffalo Chicken Roller
The 7-Eleven Buffalo Chicken Roller is a classic, easy-to-prepare appetizer. Made with tender chicken and a spicy buffalo coating, it's a flavorful treat. The melted cheese inside adds a creamy, savory component that perfectly offsets the heat.
7. Jalapeño and Cheese Taquito
7-Eleven Jalapeño & Cheese Taquito is a jalapeño and cheese snack filled with spicy and cheesy goodness. Creamy jalapeño filling with the right amount of kick, just like a jalapeño popper wrapped in a crispy shell. This taquito is fast, filling, and full of flavor.
8. Chicken Sandwich
7-Eleven’s Chicken Sandwich is a surprisingly tasty fried chicken sandwich. The chicken is juicy, well-seasoned, and tender, while the bun is brioche-like and soft. The crispy fried breading on the outside has a nice “bad for you” fried flavor to it.
9. Triple Slam Pretzel Sub
First, the bun. 7-Eleven's Deluxe Triple Slam Pretzel Sub comes in a chewy, salty pretzel bun, and it makes all the difference. A simple pretzel bun adds an extra bit of excitement to an otherwise ordinary sub.
10. Chicken Salad Sandwich
Think that a 7-Eleven sandwich can't be delicious? Think again. The chicken salad is light and full of flavor. It's creamy, yet not too rich.
Now that we talked about some of the best things on offer, here are 10 that will leave you wanting more.
1. Tuna Salad Sandwich
The Simply Tuna Salad Sandwich from 7-Eleven is an incredibly unsatisfying one. The filling is a dry and under-mayoed tuna salad with a sweet relish that makes for a weirdly off-balanced, cloyingly sweet, and fishy sandwich. The sandwich is bland, uninspired, and pretty much any homemade effort would beat this.
2. The Breakfast Pizza
It's not the worst of the worst, but it's still pretty bad. 7-Eleven's breakfast pizza is basically an Egg McMuffin on a soggy biscuit crust. The pie is smothered in cheese, eggs, breakfast sausage, ham, and cream gravy. The flavor is not only overwhelmingly salty but just too saucy.
3. Burritos
Flavorless, not fresh, and frozen then microwaved within the store. They always end up lukewarm in the middle and chewy with a weird texture. They are very cheap but overprocessed and bland, not even as good as fast food.
4. Peanut Brittle
For an unhealthy candy bar, 7-Eleven’s peanut brittle is hard on the teeth and jam-packed with calories and sugar. A bag of this trans-fat and gluten-free candy contains about 900 calories and over 100 grams of sugar. The hard crystallized sugar can also damage any dental work.
5. Chicken Wings
7-Eleven’s chicken wings are surprisingly bad. One wing alone has 20 percent of the sodium you should have in a day. They’re reheated and tasteless, and you’re better off just making your own at home. All in all, these wings are flavorless, too salty, and there are better options out there.
6. Doritos Loaded
If you’re looking for a new Doritos flavor, you’re going to be incredibly disappointed with what 7-Eleven has in store for you. The whole premise of nacho-flavored Doritos filled with a gooey cheese sauce just sounds incredible. Instead, they taste meh and underwhelming and have a weird aftertaste.
7. Crunch Mini Donuts
7-Eleven's mini doughnuts are tiny, but they are loaded with sugar. Just 6 doughnuts have 400 calories and 29 grams of sugar. If you are looking for a treat from 7-Eleven, then these will do it, but you won't feel satiated afterward. They have no nutritional value as they are mainly sugar and bleached white flour.
8. Hot Dogs
7-Eleven hot dogs are overcooked, greasy, and flavorless. The toppings are soggy or uneven, and the meat tastes chemically. They are a very poor grab-and-go choice compared to even the simplest store-bought meal.
9. Frozen Taquitos
7-Eleven's frozen taquitos are bland, rubbery, and almost never heat evenly in the store microwave. The filling is under-seasoned, and the shell can get soggy or burnt. Besides, why would you get them frozen when you can get them freshly made?

10. Sloppy Joes
This 7-Eleven Sloppy Joe is way too sweet, mushy, and generally damp. The filling is loosey-goosey and lacks any real flavor. The meat filling is bland, and the bun falls apart as you eat it.
